CAYO GUILLERMO

Welcome to Cayo Guillermo webpage. On this website you will be able to see closer how Cuba is nice and its people and you will see some photos from my vacation trip to Cayo Guillermo one of the most beautiful places in Cuba.

I was impressed right away as we arrived on Cuban land a few years ago. There wasn’t new airport in Cayo Largo so we had to land in Ciego De Avila and than take bus ride to Cayo Guillermo. On your way to Cayo Guillermo you can see Cuban people on the streets and see how hard is for some of those people to live as they are still under US Embargo and it makes everything even harder for them. But spirit of Cuban people is very high and you can really see it as they go on streets and having fun, dancing and playing instruments. Than we arrived on floating bridge which is twenty something kilometers long connecting Cuba with Cayo Coco and Cayo Guillermo.

Riding bus on that bridge was great experience for my family and me as there is only 2 lines on that bridge and no fence it looked like we riding bus on the waves of beautiful blue sea. Now when you got to Cayo Guillermo you land on brand new airport in Cayo Coco and that take short ride to smaller island called Cayo Guillermo.
